I’d like to describe The Table as your local farmers market in an indoor, retail setting that is open 7 days a week with an option to shop online for curbside pickup. The Table also hosts a variety of cooking classes with a focus on seasonality & ethnic cuisines for all level home-cooks. The store takes pride in showcasing a wide variety of rotating products including locally grown produce, sourdough, cheeses, granola, honey, baked goods, and more. Also, you will find an assortment of frozen items such as soups, dumplings, tamales, sweet and savory pies, etc. from 20-25 small, local businesses.
The Table is a brainchild of four culinary enthusiasts, Trent Shaskan and his wife Dena Peterson Shaskan, and business partners, Hao Tran and Dixya Bhattarai. The ultimate goal of The Table is to create a neighborhood grocery store where seasonal local food is celebrated while bringing people and community to the same table through cooking classes, collaborative dinners, brunch market, & cookbook club.
Due to the pandemic, all in-person classes/events are currently on hold but you can join one of the cooking classes virtually and pick up the cooking class kit from The Table. Or just swing by The Table to browse an assortment of foods, crafts, and plants.
You can find more about The Table and current cooking class schedule here or browse the store online.
