Bacon Burnt Ends Stout Release at Martin House

The beer gurus at Martin House Brewing Company have collaborated with local barbecue legends, Heim Barbecue, to create a Bacon Burnt Ends Stout. Bacon Burnt Ends have helped put Heim on the map and now you can drink a beer inspired by this locally iconic dish. The stout base includes malts that were smoked in the smoker at Heim and their signature spice rub is included in the mix. The end result is a bacon beer that’s slightly smoky and sweet. This event will have food available from Heim’s food truck, Meat Force One.

Game Theory is Fort Worth’s first and only gaming lounge. Game Theory has a library of board games that you check out (for a fee) while enjoying small snacks, cocktails or beer. On Thursday December 5, Whole Foods will bring a huge spread of fine cheeses and tasty wines for Game Theory customers to try free. Enjoy a free flight of cheese and wine while dominating at your favorite board games. Attendance must be confirmed with Game Theory due to limited availability.

Funky Picnic Brewery and Café hosts guest chef Jaime Fernandez of Black Cat Pizza to showcase his culinary skills and roots with a Mexican Beer Dinner. Traditional dishes that are hard to come by in Fort Worth will be part of this five course meal with beer pairings. If you want a taste of true Mexican cuisine without venturing to Mexico this dinner promises to transport your taste buds there. You will enjoy some unique dishes like squash stuffed tamales, smoked duck with a mole sauce and Chiles en Nogada.

Learn how to make a beautiful and festive brioche just in time for the holidays. This hands on cooking class at The Table will teach you the techniques necessary from making the dough, shaping it and preparing the fillings (for the couronne). Learn from a Le Cordon Bleu qualified British chef who has previously cooked for the Royal Family. Participants will take home an appetizer of brie encased in brioche and a festive brioche cranberry, pecan crown that is ready to bake and includes cooking instructions so you can enjoy both over the weekend.

A German Christmas – Around the World with Ellerbe Fine Foods

The final dinner in the Around the World dinner series from Ellerbe Fine Foods is a German Christmas theme. This three course dinner is $45 per person, and you can also purchase an optional wine flight or signature cocktail. Included in the dinner are a German style salad and a hearty German braised pot roast along with an assortment of German sweets. The dinner is open seating but requires a reservation.

The Cookery offers themed cooking classes that are hands-on and interactive. Escape the cold just for a while with their Caribbean Vacation class that offers the tropical flavors of Jamaican cuisine.
